Fylde C.A.P. - Fylde Community Arts Projects

Fylde Community Arts Projects encourages and assists the arts and artists in the Blackpool, Wyre and Fylde area. We run events and competitions in a wide variety of art forms including poetry, music, dance, painting and illustration, and drama. We aim to bring together artists and audiences for the benefit of all.

We run poetry and other workshops together with other groups. If your organisation would like us to help set up such an event, please get in touch.

We work with schools and other local organisations to promote poetry, art and music events. Our annual school poetry competition enables young people to see the best of their work printed in a book and on sale to the public.

Collage of images from the 2008 Art Competition

We run an annual art competition and exhibition at Marsh Mill in Cleveleys. This gives local amateur artists a chance to display their creativity in the setting of this fine local landmark. We also have in progress an illustration competition to find illustrators for a childrens’ book.

Summer Season

The new programme for 2010 will be announced around March next year including information about the competitions and rules and regulations for entry into the art competition at Marsh Mill and the illustration competition, for the 3rd part of the trilogy "Spiritworld".
